About Me

About Me

I’m a Pakistani mum, part of a Dutch-Pakistani family, raising our children in Switzerland. Living and parenting across cultures has deeply shaped how I see family, identity, and belonging. It has raised ongoing questions about what we pass on to our children and how we do so with intention and care.

Like many parents living away from their country of origin, I’ve felt the pull of different values, expectations, and approaches to raising children. Navigating these layers led me to explore trauma-informed parenting as a way to better understand children’s emotional needs while also honouring our own histories, stories, and cultural roots.

I am currently learning and training in trauma-informed approaches, and this space reflects both my personal journey and my professional direction. Upon completion of my coaching certification, I will be offering coaching, courses, and workshops to support families who want to parent with greater awareness, connection, and confidence.

Alongside this, I write blogs rooted in my personal experiences and the ways they have shaped my parenting journey. I share honest reflections on cross-cultural family life, identity, and growth. I also provide thoughtfully curated resources for both parents and children to support a more mindful, emotionally attuned parenting experience.

My work is grounded, reflective, and practical. I don’t believe in perfect parenting, quick fixes, or rigid rules. Instead, I focus on understanding, connection, and small, meaningful shifts that create calmer, more connected family relationships.
